Located in Dickinson Quay, two miles away from the centre of Hemel Hempstead, this attractive restaurant boasts beautiful views of the marina and canal, which was a key selling point for the business. The restaurant is also surrounded by other licensed businesses and flats, meaning no shortage of footfall.

The previous owner, Robert Giambrone opened Woodys in 2000 and operated the venue as a successful vegetarian restaurant for two decades. He made the decision to sell the popular venue in order to retire.

Robert comments, “Running the restaurant for so many years was a real pleasure, but we are thrilled to hand over the reins to an enthusiastic new operator. We are excited to see how the new operation gets on.”

The restaurant has been purchased by local businessman, Dan Bavandi who plans to introduce a new café concept, following a refurbishment. He comments “It is an exciting time for the hospitality industry. We greatly look forward to opening a new site for the people of Hemel Hempsted.”

Tim Widdows, Business Agent at Christie & Co handled the sale and comments, “Due to its beautiful riverside location, the property attracted plenty of interest from a range of operators. We are delighted to see it sold so it can once again be used by the local community.”
