Ten Years at the top; ‘most active’ agent in the South West
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co’s South West team has been named, for the tenth consecutive year the most active agents in the Leisure and Hotels category of the ‘2019 Estates Gazette EGi Deals Competition’. Christie & Co continue to dominate the Hotel & Leisure transactional market in the South West, having provided market leading advice to hotel and pub owners for over 80 years.

Key transactions undertaken by the South West team in 2019 included completing on the sale of Cotswold Inns & Hotels, a privately owned collection of seven hotels & inns located around the Cotswolds, to Fuller’s PLC off a guide price £40 million; the sale of Nethway Hotel in Torquay to first-time buyer, Julie Way, the sale of The Cormorant Hotel in Golant to independent developers, Green & Rock and The Beechfield Hotel in Wiltshire to an experienced local operator. In the pubs sector, some of our standout deals included; The Holcombe Inn in Radstock, sold to Caroline Gardiner & Alan Lucas the owners of a London based catering and event consultancy company; The Darlington Arms located near Bristol which was sold to local businessmen Thayanesan Karnan and Sivaji Rajmohan and the sale of Lazy Days Holiday Park in Brean near Weston-Super-Mare, sold to Bristol based business partners Martin Parfrey and Jamie Woodman.
