Thamesmead pharmacy changes hands to existing local operators
The leasehold interest of First Care Pharmacy in Thamesmead, South East London, has been sold to existing local operators, through specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co.
The well-established business was opened seven years ago by the previous owners and enjoys a prominent position in a growing area, ideally placed next to a doctor’s surgery. The site also benefits from ample free customer parking directly outside and easy access to bus services.
Having been run under management since opening, the previous owners decided to sell the business to concentrate on other business ventures and comment, “We would like to thank Christie & Co and especially Mark Page for all his hard work during this transaction.”
First Care Pharmacy was purchased by existing operators in the sector, who comment, “We will look to work closely with the local surgery and build on all the good work that has already been happening at First Care Pharmacy. The intention is to use our experience and local knowledge to drive the business forward for the benefit of Thamesmead residents.”
Mark Page, Director at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, comments, “First Care Pharmacy received a number of strong offers from first time buyers and existing operators alike. We are delighted for the new owners and wish them all the best for the future of the business.
“This sale demonstrates the demand for good quality pharmacies in London as Christie & Co continues to receive multiple offers on most pharmacies brought to the market.”
First Care Pharmacy was sold off an asking price of offers in excess of £500,000.
