The hotel is formed around the original castle, which dates to 1089 and was built by the brother of William the Conqueror. It comprises of 43 guest bedrooms along with a plethora of public space including bars, restaurants and impressive function spaces that can cater for over 300 guests, all sat within the backdrop of the Brecon Beacons’ famous mountain range.
The hotel presented a one-of-a-kind opportunity for investors wanting to benefit from the millions of tourists who annually visit Brecon, a bustling market town known for its picturesque setting, local jazz festival and the many outdoor activities available. Christie & Co achieved the sale through a successful marketing campaign that reached almost 4000 users.
Richard Thomas, Senior Hotel broker at Christie and Co, who brokered the deal says, “We are delighted to have acted in the sale of such a prominent and historic hotel. The property generated a lot of interest, and the hotel was quickly secured by The Coaching Inn Group just a few weeks after becoming available, demonstrating the demand for good quality hotels in South Wales. We wish the team every success as the new custodians of such an historic and stunning venue.”
