The Garden House Nursery School sold through Christie & Co

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has brokered the sale of The Garden House Nursery School in the highly sought-after suburb of Fulwood, Sheffield, which has been sold to growing national operator, Cresswell Nurseries Limited.

With effective operating capacity for 67 children, the Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ setting is widely renowned in the local community and offers a phenomenal level of income and profits year on year. After establishing and running the business successfully for almost 30 years, Louise Hope took the difficult decision to sell to her seek retirement.

Louise Hope of The Garden House Nursery comments; “Now all is complete I just wanted to say a big thank you to Sofia Beck at Christie & Co for the way in which she handled the sale of my nursery. Having started it nearly 30 years ago from scratch, I was wary of the whole process, but I have to say, she made it simple. From finding exactly the type of buyer I wanted for my ‘baby’ to getting a dream above asking price, I have been delighted with the whole process. I shall still be involved in taking the nursery forward and hopefully expanding in the area which I am very much looking forward to doing, but I am also looking forward to more free time to see family and pursue other interests alongside newfound security - the ideal result.”

Stephen Booty of Cresswell Nurseries comments; "The Garden House Nursery is a fantastic setting, with an unrivalled local reputation, a great staff team, and fantastic childcare and education outcomes. We are very excited to be working alongside Louise Hope going forward to continue to deliver fantastic outcomes for the children and parents in the local community."

Sofia Beck, Business Agent – Childcare at Christie & Co adds; “I’m delighted we were able to sell The Garden House Nursery for Louise and wish her all the best with her retirement.

“The demand for high quality settings in the North is at an all-time high, which resulted in some exceptional prices being achieved last year, a trend which has continued this into 2018. There has been an apparent rise in nursery buyers who have traditionally targeted the South of the country, now looking for opportunities in the North due to the dramatic difference in freehold values.”
