The Salwey Arms in Wooferton, Shropshire has been sold by the Birmingham Office of specialist property advisors, Christie + Co.
The 18th century Georgian coaching inn has been purchased by Matt Jenneson and his family, who have relocated from Scotland and New Zealand to acquire the landmark property in the heart of Shropshire.
Superbly situated just off the A49 on one of the main gateways to Shropshire, the Grade II listed character inn offers a diverse range of beautifully appointed dining, drinking and entertaining facilities as well as five luxury letting rooms.
Paul Reilly of Christie + Co, who handled the sale, commented: “The outgoing vendors, Hugo and Cilla Lywood painstakingly restored an old, derelict pub and established it as a quality, all-year-round business. This is a fantastic acquisition by the Jenneson family, who are looking forward to running The Salwey as a family business and will continue to offer unrivalled customer service.”
The freehold interest in The Salwey Arms was sold off an asking price of £1,250,000.
