The 4-Star Stone Manor Hotel in Worcestershire has been sold in a deal brokered by specialist property adviser Christie + Co.

The Dunn family, who have owned the hotel for 30 years pass the torch to hoteliers Andy and Helena Hogarth, owners of the successful Hogarths Hotel in Dorridge, Solihull.

The Hogarths’ transformed their property in Solihull into a multi-award winning hotel, scooping four AA stars, its first AA rosette and the hotel restaurant of the year prize in the Midlands category at the 2014 Food Awards England and Wales. The pair now look forward to building on Stone Manor’s success and have already announced plans to refurbish the stunning1920s Tudor-style property throughout.

Set in beautiful extensive grounds of approximately 22 acres, The Stone Manor Hotel was sold for an undisclosed sum off an asking price of £3m. The property boasts 57 bedrooms including five suites, five impressive conference rooms and an AA Rosette-awarded restaurant,

Situated in Chaddesley Corbett in Worcestershire’s Wyre Forest area, and some three miles from Kidderminster, the hotel is well connected to the motorway network and close to many of the region’s tourist attractions, such as the Severn Valley Railway, the Black Country Museum and Cadbury World.

Gavin Wright, Director at Christie + Co’s Birmingham office, handled the sale. He says: “We have witnessed considerable improvement with buyer activity in the hotel sector having completed a number of hotel transactions, which has clearly continued into 2015 on the back of encouraging momentum in 2014.  We congratulate the Hogarths’ on this excellent acquisition and look forward to watching the success of The Stone Manor Hotel as it enters a new era. I would also like to wish Mr Dunn and his daughter Loraine a happy retirement.
