UK’s ‘most incredible sandwich shop’ in Newcastle comes to the market
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co has brought to the market Kracklin’, an award-winning sandwich shop and restaurant located in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne.
The family owned business is ideally positioned in a busy part of the city centre, close to Grey Street and Pilgrim Street and has established itself in the competitive restaurant market. The business was named as one of the UK’s ‘most incredible sandwich shops’ by Great British Chefs, as part of British Sandwich Week in 2018.
The restaurant was completely refurbished when it opened in 2015 and offers a range of gourmet sandwiches, poutine, which is served with the pork crackling that gives the restaurant its name, and mac ‘n’ cheese. It is also fully licensed for alcohol, serving a range of beers, wines and cocktails alongside its food offering, for a maximum of 30 covers in the restaurant and with its pavement license, an additional 12 external covers to the front of the property.
David Cash, Senior Agent at Christie & Co’s Newcastle office is handling the sale and comments, “Pitched just around the corner from our offices on Shakespeare Street, the business is one that I have followed closely both as a customer and as a licensed specialist. It’s great to see local, independent restaurants competing with the huge number of corporate entities we have in the city. Kracklin’ has just reported its most lucrative weeks since opening and continues to build on its strong reputation.”
Kracklin’ is on the market with a leasehold asking price of £60,000.
