Unopposed village convenience store near Liverpool sold
Specialist business property advisor, Christie & Co has completed on the sale of Dawn Til Dusk, an unopposed village convenience store in the Liverpool suburb of Fairfield. Funding for the sale was secured through Christie & Co’s sister company, Christie Finance.
The sale of Dawn Til Dusk was a rare opportunity to acquire a long standing, very well-established convenience store within a busy residential area, 1.9 miles from Liverpool city centre. The business is heavily relied upon by the local community and enjoys a strong trading position as a result.
The previous owner, Mr Arshad Ahmed has owned the store for the past 20 years and made the decision to bring it to the market through Christie & Co in order to seek retirement.
He comments, “It has been a pleasure to run Dawn Til Dusk and be a part of the Fairfield community for the past 20 years however, the time had come for me to retire. I am glad to be passing on the store to someone keen to take the business forward and help it grow.”
The store has been acquired by Mr Jenosikan Ravichandran, an experienced operator who plans to renovate and modernise the store, along with introducing a range of new product lines.
Funding for Mr Ravichandran to complete the purchase was secured through Ed Brown, Retail Finance Specialist at Christie Finance. Ed comments, “It was a pleasure supporting Jenosikan with the acquisition of his first convenience store. We were able to connect him to a lender with a deep understanding of the funding requirements within the retail sector. They realised the excellent opportunity that Dawn Til Dusk could offer to an ambitious young retailer such as Jenosikan, and I am sure that he will make the business a huge success. I wish him all the best.”
Ashley Cobban, Business Agent in Christie & Co’s Retail team handled the sale and adds, “It was a pleasure to sell the Dawn Til Dusk store on behalf of Arshad, utilising the Christie & Co network. I wish Jenosikan all the best and look forward to seeing his plans for the business take shape.”
